Boxing Meets Jiu Jitsu🥊

We are teaming up once again with Copa Jiu Jitsu to offer a 6 week program that is a hybrid of Boxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!

American Boxing is considered to be the best striking style in the world and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is considered to be the best grappling art on the planet.

The course will introduce to you to the basic boxing strikes in drilling format with the submission holds, escapes, throws and self defense of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. This program is designed for beginners and no experience required. 

This program will be taught by Mark “Mack the Knife” Daley 4th Degree Black Belt Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Carlson Gracie.

Mack also trained under several of the top Boxing and Muay Thai instructors in Chicago for many years.

***Minimum age 16. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent/ guardian sign a waiver. Waivers will be signed by all participants***

This is our acclaimed BJJ Beginner Course/Self Defense curriculum, available now for registration. In 8 weeks, you will learn the most critical concepts and techniques of the highly-effective art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from a Competition/MMA as well as a Self Defense perspective. We will teach the most common Submissions, Escapes, Takedowns and Throws used in Street Self Defense, Submission Fighting and MMA. We have developed and perfected this program over the last 10 years at the Copa Jiu Jitsu Headquarter School in Chicago! This course is designed for those with no grappling experience, so you will all learn from the ground up.
This is a no gi (uniform) course, so no equipment is required. 

Student registration is limited to ensure safety and quality instruction.

Mack has taught Self-Defense to Chicago Police, Chicago FBI, Chicago Secret Service and is currently teaches seminars for the South Bend Police Department.

Tuesday – 5:15-6pm Kids Gi Jiu Jitsu

Thursday – 5:15-6pm Kids No Gi jiu Jitsu

Saturday 10:15-11am Kids Gi Jiu Jitsu

My old friend and my Judo coach RJ Cohen will be doing a seminar at Copa Jiu Jitsu Niles on Tuesday June 27th, 2023 from 6-8pm.
RJ is the son of Olympian Irwin Cohen and was an Olympic Alternate. He is the best Judo coach I have ever trained with. The seminar is $30 and is open to all students regardless of experience. RJ and I are discussing the possibility of making Copa Jiu Jitsu an affiliate of Cohen Brothers Judo which is headquartered in the Chicago area.

We are moving our academy on Feb 28th, 2023 to 2601 N 5th St Niles Michigan. We are in front of Apex Storage, across the street from the Fire Station. We have outgrown the old place and have twice the mat space! We will have the same schedule, website, phone etc…just a new address. Our last class in the old location will be tomorrow (Monday) from 6-7:30pm. Tuesday classes will be:

7:30-8:30pm Krav Maga
